What did you say?
Listening to an mp3 player or iPod through earphones at high volume for just an hour every day can damage your hearing. If you are listening to music while on the treadmill or if the gym is playing music you want to drawn out, you may be increasing the volume on your player to harmful levels. The type of headphone you use can also affect how much hearing
damage you are unintentionally causing. Earbuds, which are inserted into the ear, causes more damage than an earphone that sits on top of the ear when played at the same volume. This is because the earbud forces sound directly toward the eardrum. No matter what type of headphone you choose, all earphones can cause damage if the music is loud enough. To protect your hearing, don’t increase the volume above 80% of what your player is capable of.
